Yardley Messeroux is the Founder and Editor in Chief of The Coil Review, living in New York City. Throughout the span of a decade, Ms. Messeroux has acquired knowledge and insight on the subject of hair care for ethnic textures through extensive research, experience and advisement by respected industry professionals. Because she recognized the need for validated information on natural hair care as well as the need to showcase beautiful images of women with natural hair, Yardley Messeroux created The Coil Review.

Ms. Messeroux has been trained as an authentic Olive Oil Specialist at O&Co., a premier Mediterranean olive oil company, and she is currently studying the Science of the hair and scalp at a notable institution based in Australia. Eager to share what she has learned over the years with others, Ms. Messeroux is already in the process of developing a system that will allow her to do so; and while doing this, she will be addressing hair and scalp ailments, as well as the cultivation and maintenance of healthy hair growth.

Boston born-Haitian bred, this well-rounded business professional has enjoyed careers in fashion merchandising, financial industry marketing, as well as artist development at a historic Hip Hop and Rock recording label. Also, in years past as a hobby, Ms. Messeroux has performed as a disc jockey at several New York City events, such as Hot 97’s Summer Jam Pre-show Festival and Boost Mobile's RockCorps projects.

Ms. Messeroux now dedicates much of her time outside of her 9 to 5 to the readers of The Coil Review. She vowed years ago to create a resource of reliable information on products, salons, stylists and methods of hair maintenance—while bringing light to the beauty of natural coily and curly hair. June 2008 began the reality of that mission and today she continues to move forward, progressively.
